I have been a slacker the last month or two. Not working out like I should, not going to the gym – which granted was almost impossible to do with a foot injury plus then packing and moving over the last couple weeks.
Today though, I woke up with a purpose. To get started and get my body back on track.
I started with my weights and measurements. Can you say “OMG”? As I looked at my scale I realized that I basically undid 2 years of weight loss in 2 months time.
As I stared at the numbers, I realized something. In the past I used some products that were just pills or drinks, “magic potions” that gave me some quick results, but not results that lasted – stop taking them or drinking them and gain right back instantly. Proper nutrition IS KEY to long term sustain success and fitness is something I actually love and want to do.
Well. NO MORE wishing. Its time to get back on track.
It’s time to get this done right. Through proper eating habits that will last a lifetime and daily fitness routines. No pills, no potions. Just the right foods and lots of sweat.
But then came the hardest part of my morning – the before photos….
I went to my husband before jumping int he shower and said “I need you to do something for me after I shower but I need you to not make fun of me when we do it”. Then I told him I needed photos done with his DSLR.
I am not proud of them at all but I am happy I had the courage to do them (I will be sharing those tomorrow so make sure you check back!) – hey look at that my first non-scale victory – having the guts to have my hubby take my photos! Baby steps.
